In Northland a small number of limestone and volcanic outcrops have been developed for rock climbing.
Please note: Several crags described in NZAC’s 1997 guidebook Northern Rock are no longer open to climbers, including Apotu Road, Waro Reserve and, at Waipu Caves, Crag X, Arena Walls and Bovine Walls. They aren't included here.
