From the Landsborough

Access from the Landsborough Valley to the Karangarua Valley can be gained by
leaving the Landsborough River near the McKerrow Glacier, and anglingwest
300m to reach the saddle. The terrain is steep on the east side of the
saddle, easy on the west. Recent rockfall may have increased the difficulty
of this crossing.
