Scramble up the ridge from the Classen – Godley confluence. It may be possible to avoid the scrubby section at the base of the ridge by climbing a gully partway up the Classen side. The summit is a spectacular viewpoint of all major tributaries of the Godley River. This is the easiest descent from Panorama.
From the western shoreline of the Grey-Maud Lake, climb up and right on scree to gain the spur. Climb up the spur, head right again to avoid bluffs near the top of the spur, and then use snow slopes further west to gain the summit.
