Achilles has high (2540m) and low (2450m) peaks. There is no recorded ascent directly from the Black Birch Creek (Havelock River) side. Both peaks can be climbed easily enough from the col between them.

From Trojan Stream walk up blocky scree to the summits.

Climb the snow couloir which leads to the col between the Low and High Peak. From the col traverse around onto the northern face where easy slopes lead to the summit.
