From what I've seen twice from going up from the Harper I'd add some more info to clarify access, otherwise it's easy to take a wrong turn particularly in the dark!
Once at the large amphitheater towards the end of Harper Creek, climb the long scree slope on the true right. When the scree slop forks at 1485m, stay on the true left. At 1615m, a smaller scree slope meets the main scree slope on the true right. Follow this up onto the spur between Greenlaw and Harper Creek. Follow the spur up and along until you can see Mt Speight, then traverse the scree, talus and grassy slopes down to the stream below the Mt Speight snow basin (if you drop too early you will get bluffed out). Follow the stream past Gerrard Falls (Great grassy biv spot here, ~7hrs from road end) and up to the snow basin.
