The col between Park and Wilczek has been used as a crossing between the Burton and the Whataroa. It’s higher than Callery Saddle but routefinding is slightly easier.
Crossed by Dave Bamford, Peter Fullerton, George Kendall and John Nankervis in February 1978.

Approach
Route 9.10, grade II, 2: Described from west to east. The west side involves straightforward snow slopes. On the east, snow slopes lead down to Pt 1573m. Turn left (north) and descend the stream to reach Whymper Hut.
