Via a prominent snow arête from the upper Hooker. Since the first ascent, a rock band has become exposed near the top of the route, which may present additional difficulties.

Gain the Main Divide at Harper Saddle or either side of Mt Sturdee, depending on schrunds and snow conditions. Then either follow the rotten divide ridge or negotiate a less technical route using slopes on the west side of the ridge.
