From the Tasman Glacier: Either climb directly to the plateau between Green and Walter using slopes under Green’s Big South Face (early season only), or pick a route onto the ridge north of Pt 2258m, which is an exposed snow arete in its upper half. From the plateau to the col is easy.
To reach the Times Glacier, descend steep snow on the Stevenson Glacier, which is usually very crevassed from January onwards.
From the west: Ascend steep snow on the Stevenson Glacier to reach the col (route 9.32 on topo). The Stevenson Glacier usually becomes badly crevassed after early summer. To reach the Tasman Glacier, traverse beneath the east face of Mt Green and descend the ridge leading south towards Pt 2258m until the 2300m contour, then pick a line onto the glacier.
