From the upper Ferguson Creek, climb up a shingle gut west of some huge rocks and onto a tussock spur which leads to the ridge. Descend directly from the pass down toward the Wills Valley, on the west side of Safe Creek.

Access to Ferguson Creek from the Wills River is gained by climbing the bush face opposite Dredge Creek. The face changes to a spur, and tussock slopes lead to Wills Pass.
