Turakirae Head

Walking and cycling access is via covenant across private property. Please observe all signs and keep to the seaward side of the fence.
Drive down the Wainuiomata Coast Road (as for Baring Head) but continue to the end of the (sealed) public road. Either park here or further back at a DoC carpark. Walk or cycle down the metalled road and across the Orongorongo River bridge, then follow the gravelled track and DoC signs east to the obvious boulder-covered point. Walking times range from 30 mins to the Wavelength boulder to 1.5 hours to the Sticks.
