Beetham Crags

Beetham Crags were developed in the early eighties. Nick Banks established a few routes in the summer of 1983 and later that season participants on a guides course added more routes – apparently there are about a dozen routes but records are sketchy. Despite this the rock is superb and the setting above Haupapa Tasman Glacier is without compare.
Beetham Hut is directly below the crags and would make an excellent base.
