This small crag has been developed in collaboration with Christchurch City Council Parks & Reserves Dept. & Ara Institute of Canterbury.
Its creation has been motivated by the need to increase instructional & introductory level venues post-earthquake.
It was unbeknown to the developers of Pop Up that it was already a bouldering venue & in Tony Burnell's bouldering guide.
Given that it has become well used as a introduction to leading venue, a guide has been included bearing in mind that it is originally a bouldering site.
