Hangman was destroyed in the 22 February 2011 Christchurch earthquake. They don't come any more classic than this. The wide crack L of the main overhang. From the left of the belay ledge follow the crack to the top on good holds and optional jams and bridging. Sustained and good pro. The wall to the left provides challenging face climbing. Widely considered the best crack in the Port Hills. Follow the obvious hand crack up and left of the roof directly above Expedition Crack/Buttress Corner. This line, that steadily increases in steepness, is quite sustained but offers excellent jamming and pro.
Well I never climbed this before the quake, but I hear it's a lot wider now! I heard it used to take wires, but this used up all my hexes plus a borrowed number 11 placed sideways some way from the top...

The name Hangman has been recycled for my route at Gibraltar Rock-How do I recycle a name in this system?

You can use the name you need. The system will support multiple Routes with the same name. Their URL path will be generated based on the Place (Wall, Crag etc.) they are parented to.
