Winds its way up wall up right of BODIES. Provides more climbing than the average Christchurch classic. Start as for A.I. to ledge, moves right past flake to the second bolt then straight up to the third. Trend left then straight up to a crack/flake where gear can be placed. Continue straight up to the top. Double bolt belay over the top. There's also a separate direct start hidden in the trees, with an extra bolt.

Just out of curiosity why has Victims been downgraded from 23 to 22?

If you have climbed the route you will also note that the second bolt is up and right not, up and left.

Also last time I climbed (last week) it only had 3 bolts not 4.

When was it upgraded to 23? Always used to be 22.

The standard route has 3 bolts. There is a direct start variation with an extra bolt.

Yes there is and the route description acknowledges this, however this is a revision to the route description of "Victim of Ravishment" and it only has 3 bolts

Alas, the famous "finger" hold just below the top has gone. Take care on those slopers, a long fall from the top might be a bit more likely now.

This route now has 6 bolts since a hold broke off at the top. I am suggesting the grade as 23? Feedback please! The direct start has two bolts now not 2. Still an awesome must do lead.

Are the three extra bolts all holding the broken hold back on? ;-)
Felt more like 23 than 22 I think.

Thank you Gomez for asking the obvious question.
