Named in contrast to Angel Col because it is an uphill slog from both sides.
Relatively easy from both sides. Some have had trouble with slots on the Lambert side, but usually there is no problem. This is the standard route from the Garden of Allah to the Lambert Neve, although alternatives south of pt 2279m work perfectly well too. Below the 1700m contour on the Lambert Glacier, the best route to the O Neil Glacier and Lambert Col is right over on the true right of the Lambert close to the Main Divide.
