Ōhinetahi Reserve remains closed due to multiple slips and ongoing safety risks following recent severe weather. Independent geotechnical specialists are currently assessing the slips to determine when it is safe to reopen.
Please keep an eye on the Summit Road Society's website and social channels for updates before heading out.
Very crumbly rock. Took multiple good falls when holds fell off after I weighted them. Suggest your belayer stay out of the way and wear a helmet. Bring a sling to balance your anchor at the top. Very well bolted route though so worth doing.
