Avon Burn

Take the Avon Burn easement track from the Birchwood Road carpark. The 4wd track splits at the Tin Hut. Cross the Avon Burn and follow the Mt Martha Track but before climbing to the saddle head for the East Ridge or directly to the summit. To reach the true high point there is a section of steep exposed rock to scramble. The summit ridge could also be approached from the North Avon Burn Easement for a longer loop trip.
