The prow of the range juts out into Lake Ōhau and provides a solid 1000m altitude gain from the Glen Lyon road to the summit. The Greta Loop track (16 km loop) provides easy access to the summit. Back Hut, an old, derelict musterers’ hut (dating from 1890), is passed on the southern track.
