Flanagan Pass (formerly known as Glen Lyon Saddle) is an easy stroll from either east or west. It was used in the late 1800s as a direct route to Glen Lyon station. The pass provides good access to ski-touring in the basins on the southern end of the range when snow cover is sufficient.

From the west, use the Dorcy Track; from the east, use Darts Bush Stream Track, which can be accessed either via Pyramid Track or the Dusky Trail. Remaining telegraph poles from the 1940s, once used for Glen Lyon Station communication, can be seen beside the track in places.
