The col between Pt 2332 metres and Mt Westland provides a straightforward early season crossing
point to Swift Water, once the upper Clarke Glacier is reached. The upper Clarke Glacier can be
reached via the upper Cockayne Glacier or via a long trudge along its length from the
Ramsay Glacier – but the Clarke icefall is tricky to negotiate and can get very cut up later in the season.
