The route starts from a shingle fan opposite Cirque Creek and just to the left of a narrow waterfall cleft and sidles leftwards above a prominent gendarme.

The peak can also be climbed via the tussock fan opposite Homer Hut, moving left through the bluffs to the foot of the buttress on the skyline and taking the ridge to the peak.
