Approach

Moa Saddle is easiest to cross from north to south. In Unknown Stream, find a prominent marker just
west of the small creek draining Moa Saddle. From here follow a well-marked but steep bushbash up
a spur on the true left of the creek, followed by an eroded section of ridge, before reaching the top of
the scarp and the saddle. If descending from the saddle to Unknown Stream, head slightly east to the
top of a small knoll before heading down steep, compact scree – care is required to find the marked
route in the scrub.
