From the Valley of the Trolls head up the the valley to the northeast and climb scree slope to reach the saddle between Pts 1829 and 1821. From the saddle follow the easy 'C'-shaped ridge to the summit.

Climbed from the North Branch of the Routeburn. Headed up a dirty gully around here to the tarn under Pt 1821 and then up the face. Originally done as a solo day trip from Queenstown - traversed back over Xenicus and then down to Routeburn falls.
