South East Ridge, III,2+ | III,2+ | 0m
The long ridge connecting Mt Edgar Thomson with Mt Sealy provides exposed steep scrambling, but is very loose in places. Some parties – including previous editors of this guide – have loved it; others not so much! This route has also been known as the Hoophorn Ridge – just don't confuse it with Hoophorn Spur. Descend to the Metelille Glacier.

From the 2428m col at the head of the Metelille Glacier (incorrectly labelled Barrow Col), follow a series of steep rotten steps to the summit.

From Metelille Glacier, I,2 | I,2 | 0m
From the head of the glacier this is a straightforward snow climb which provides a terrific view from the summit.
