These winter ice-climbing crags are located at the head of Bush Stream: in the vicinity of the Bush Stream–Back Bush Stream confluence, in gullies and walls on the south face of Mt Brown, on cliffs on the true left of Back Bush Stream, and at the toe of Mt Dark's north ridge.

Access

Travel up the gravel riverbed on the true left initially, then boulder-hop of the stream, crossing or sidling on trails through the scrub and bush as necessary. About 3 hrs from SH80 to the confluence of Back Bush Stream. Good campsites here at BY15 625 399. It’s possible to bivvy under the largest rock on the true right of Back Bush Stream, about 60m upstream from Bush Stream. This works well in winter after packing the walls with snow.
