Ngā Poutiriao ō Mauao, the Mauao Joint Administration Board, has decided not to allow climbing on Mauao (Mt Maunganui). The bolts were removed in 2021.

Takes the direct line through the roof and headwall. Sustained moves at the top ofthis route, keep left of the cleft at the top of the face.
