Huxley River

From the Hopkins valley a track enters the Huxley valley an hour above Monument Hut and leads to a bridge across the Huxley River. Follow flats on the north side crossing as necessary, or the flood track, to Huxley Forks Hut.
A bridge five minutes upstream provides access to the south and north branches. In normal flow it’s quicker to boulder hop up the north Huxley where possible.

Huxley Forks Hut to Brodrick Hut (North Huxley): 2–3hrs
