Ngā Poutiriao ō Mauao, the Mauao Joint Administration Board, has decided not to allow climbing on Mauao (Mt Maunganui). The bolts were removed in 2021.

Starts in the weak band of rock. Climb to the right of the seam until the ledge until finishing at the ledge and anchor.
