Ngā Poutiriao ō Mauao, the Mauao Joint Administration Board, has decided not to allow climbing on Mauao (Mt Maunganui). The bolts were removed in 2021.

Climb the face and arete past the horizontal break. The crux is in the final moves, anexciting finish to an excellent route.
