A relatively easy approach can be made up this spur from the Hot Springs Creek Basin.
Arnold Heine, Jim Cruse, Gordon Howitt, Harold Simpson, 28 Dec 1951
This peak was named by the first ascent party as being about a mile south of Avalon Peak at the junction of a major spur descending to forks in Hot Springs Creek. Metric maps showing the peak marked as less than a kilometre south of Mt Ferguson are incorrect.
