Some quality routes close to the river. If there hasn’t been a working bee lately they may be overgrown, but these are right next to the road so easy to check out. If not a go, your best alternative options at these grades and aspect are probably The Cutting or The Vatican at Hospital Flat North, or up at Diamond Lake.
Drive 3.2km along West Wānaka Rd and 400m past the Matukituki Bridge. Park on grass in a small turnout between the road and the river. Scrabble is across the road.
