Homestead Spur Route

This long waterless spur can be gained from near Swyncombe Farm, off Inland Kaikōura Road. Alternatively, from the Kowhai River take a spur on the south bank of Rokomaiwhaea Creek (locally known as Orange Grove Stream) to Orange Grove Saddle (800m, campsite here). Some short steep and rough sections. Traverse the subsidiary peak to the higher summit.
