 Black Lake Traverse, 19 19 150m
2.01

Traverse from the outlet of Black Lake around the left hand side of the lake edge, ending about 3/4 of the way along on the vertical wall about 25 metres before the waterfall on the opposite side of the outlet. It is best to jump into the lake from here as the wall starts to edge out a fair bit and a fall could result in a pretty bad injury. Just be aware of this and you’ll be sweet.

Hosts about 150 metres worth of quality climbing on superb granite. Features ranging from slabs, cracks, overhangs, pockets, jugs. The whole shabang!

Super fun afternoon out and great to do with multiple people.

Deep water solo grade of S0 - Super safe and clean falls the whole wall through. Just be aware the lake can get cold, and it can be a fair swim back to certain parts of the wall.

FA unknown if it’s been done in the past, otherwise Annika Liang and Troy Kendall

 Upper Lake Traverse, 23 23 100m
1.02

Starting on the left hand side of the lake.

Work through the steep section, with some intermittent tussock walks. Swim across to the next series of slabs, ending at the modern comp problem slab move. If you can do this, you get kudos.

Either swim back, or traverse the same way you came.
