Approach
A relatively straightforward route down to the Wanganui from the Bracken Snowfield during spring and summer. In autumn, crevasses can make finding a route off the col down to the Evans Glacier more difficult. Another crevassed area of white ice between 1500 and 1600 metres needs threading through, but is not usually too challenging. Descend off the glacial moraine to the Evans River on the true left.
