From south end of Lake Minchin, make your way (SE) about 100m-200m through
the beech trees to the big scree that comes down from the open tops south of
point 1471. Ascend scree to the tops and then head north along Snow Cup
Range, over points 1564 and 1714 and then finally onto Mt Morrison at 1720m.

A straight forward route with
A straight forward route with some ridge scrambling between point 1714 and the summit. Found just 1 small tarn near/west of point 1471m but it was very shallow so may be dry if there hasn't been recent rain
