Wairaka Rock is the largest of the sea stacks that you come to after the gate, about 15 minutes from the carpark. It is an excellent vantage point for spotting dolphins!
To reach the routes, traverse around the northern end of the rock at low tide in a quiet sea, otherwise you may get your feet wet! Both routes start from a ledge on the western side of the rock.
