Ngā Poutiriao ō Mauao, the Mauao Joint Administration Board, has decided not to allow climbing on Mauao (Mt Maunganui). The bolts were removed in 2021.

Short steep start past one bolt, use the crack to mantle to the ledge. Past one morebolt on the headwall to DRB.
