Dan’s Arch has three good routes. It is named for local climber Daniel Meecham, who died in 1995 in the Darran Mountains.
From the end of Whitireia Rd, walk for five minutes south on a rough track along the beach. This takes you right under the arch, in the second bay from the carpark.
It’s a further 20 minutes around the beach to reach the rest of the crag.
