Description:
From Junction Flat cross the East Matukituki and follow the marked track up through the bush on the north side of Hester Pinney Creek. Above the bush easy tussock slopes lead around to the South Albert Burn Saddle. From the saddle follow the straightforward tussock and rock of the North Ridge to the summit. This would take about seven to eight hours from the river.
