The Mikonui offers an approach to Dickie Ridge, The Tusk, Sawtooth Ridge, Ivory Lake, Mt
Beaumont and Galena Ridge (see the Lange and Hitchin Ranges), and Mt Bowen. Take the Totara
Valley road from SH6 near Ross and follow it to the Mikonui Valley.
