Located on
Leave the Hunter valley about one km downstream of Forbes Hut, and gain
height through the forest to reach the open tussock. Angle across beneath
Gilkison Peak to the pass and steep descent to the head of the Ahuriri. May
provide the most direct exit from Forbes Hut to the Ahuriri or South Temple
valleys.
