Access

Access to bottom of West Face can be gained from the northern end of the crater and sidling west on scoria around Heberleys Ridge to the base of the cliff. It should be noted that summit groups sometimes throw rocks off without realising there may be people below. Shouting back usually works to stop the hail of stones.
