Location: This route is on the second main bluff as you walk along the Te Ahumata track from the Okupu end. The route takes a direct line up the arete that runs the full height of the cliff at the right hand end of the crag. Approach: Walk along the track from Okupu for appx 10-15 mins until you reach a vague path on your left which leads to some overgrown mine railway tracks. Follow these to the mine entrance and then climb directly through the bush to the base of the cliff. From here make your way right to the base of the route at a defined arete. Description: Climb the stepped arete direct past a couple of ledges. Move slightly left at the top to finish in the trees. Protection is adequate where you need it, in generally sound rock. Descent: Abseil from tree back to base of route.
